Draft Survey and Draft Survey Results

1. We asked how old the people are to get a better idea of what are target audience likes.
2. We asked this again to see the difference in answers between the two gender's.
3. We asked this to see how many people like the genre that we want to do.
4.We asked this to get a better idea of what we should do for our opening sequence.
5. Again we asked this to get a better idea of what we should do for our opening sequence.
6.We asked this so we could have a better idea of what location we should use for the opening sequence of are film.
7. We asked this so that we could take some tips from the actor that they said it was favourite if they answered yes to make the sequence more enjoyable.
Survey Results:
The first question in the survey was asking
people about how old they are. From the results we mainly asked young people as
there is not nobody that put their age over 30. This helps, us to know that we
should have a young target audience
The second question in the survey was asking
people what gender they were. From the results we asked more males then
females. Again this helps us to know what kind of target audience we should be
looking for.
The third question in the survey was asking if
people liked crime drama’s and if so how much. From the results crime dramas
seem to be very popular with nearly everyone saying they are a fan of them.
This helps us to know that this was the right genre for our target audience.
The fourth question that was asked on the survey
was what do people expect from an opening sequence of a crime drama. From the
results all of the answers were mainly balanced and equal however starting the
opening scene of a crime drama with a dialogue was unpopular. This helps us to
swerve from starting the film this way.
The fifth question that was asked on the survey was what main plot of a crime drama would catch most people’s eye. From the results we found out that a gang death was the most popular plot for a crime drama. We can use this information to revolve our storyline around a gang death.
The penultimate question that was asked on the
survey was what location would you expect from an urban crime drama. From the
result we found out that the most expected locations people expected from an
urban crime drama was an inner city or an estate. This helped us as we are now
able to combine both ideas and film our film in an inner city estate.
The final question that was asked on the survey
was if people had a favourite actor/actress/director. From the result we found
out nearly everybody didn’t really favour anyone apart from 1 person who put
down Hugh Jackman. This helped us as we know now that we don’t have to get any
particular actors to film in our film.
