Film Classification

Due to the research we done on other similar types of films like Adulthood for example we have chosen to classify are film as a 15. There are many different factors as to why we chose to classify are film as a 15.

We felt that although there are times where the black race does get discriminated by police a couple times in the movie it doesn't occur enough so it is appropriate for an age that understands what discrimination really is which we felt was 15 and above.

There is plenty of drug usage in the film that will not be appropriate for younger viewers even with parental guidance.

There are a few graphic scenes and images in the film which we felt will traumatise younger viewers.

This is the age we also felt that was mature enough to not follow some of the characters actions in this film and we want to send a message that some of the actions from the characters in this movie should not be followed and we feel the younger viewers who are more immature will probably misinterpret the actions of the characters.

There is a lot of swearing in the film that is not suitable for younger viewers.

There isn't a lot of graphic nudity in the film for it to be an 18 but during the sex scenes there is a couple of shots during the sex scenes that will not be suitable for younger viewers.

There is a lot of violence in the film that we feel younger viewers will imitate that could be dangerous.

Props/ Costume/ Makeup

Props: The props we will need for the opening sequence is fake blood, a plastic knife, a gym bag and a Vauxhall Astra.

Image result for fake bloodImage result for fake knifeImage result for black vauxhall astra

Costume: In terms of the costume the two other characters will be wearing casual clothes something you would see gang afialted people in postcodes wear. Detective Meridian however will be wearing his police vest along with the casual clothes to show he is undercover but at the same time he has authority as well.

There will be no make up used during the opening sequence (unless you count the fake blood as make up).

Pitch Feedback

At the beginning of the pitch my group explained the whole concept of the idea of the movie. We talked about the plot and the characters in a bit more detail for them to get the storyline better and talked about how we got the idea of the movie. We also explained what the theme of the movie was and what message we were trying to get out of the movie to the audience.

During the middle of the pitch we started to talk about different other factors that affects the movie. We talked about the target audience that we were aiming for and why we chose that specific age group as are target audience. We explained this by talking about the representation of some of the characters and the whole movie and how that specific target audience can relate to the characters and the movie. We also said how the target audience can help the movie to a national success with the way are target audience age constantly uses social media.

Towards the end of the pitch we started to explain our research which helped us get the idea of the movie and what makes this movie different from others and why it would be a success. We explained where we got are influences from by talking about other British crime drama's like The Bill for example and how we studied their show and how we used them to come up with the idea for are movie. We also explained what people will like about this movie which we said was the uniqueness of the characters and how they will go through a range of emotions.

Overall the audience seemed to respond well to the pitch. They liked the whole idea of the movie and our USP.
